Buffalo Creek
I was almost 14 when the flood happened. I didn't live on Buffalo Creek but did live on Huff Creek and went to school with many of the victims. I remember listening to Logan's radio station and hearing Bill Becker's voice and the excitement when he said the damn had broken and everything on Buffalo Creek was flooding. I remember hearing about someone reporting seeing a woman on a mattress going down the creek. Later to find out that was one of my longtime very good friend's aunts. This book has so much history but such painful history. This is my fourth copy I have purchased. One for myself and gave three copies as gifts. Teresa
